Terrell Johnathan Hodges, lovingly known as “John”, was born on September 24,1979 in Pinehurst, North Carolina to Reginald and Tonya Hodges. He passed away at his home on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Maggie McKenzie; paternal grandmother, Inez McCrimmon; and his sister, India Hodges.
John leaves fond memories to his three children, Jaden Hodges, Kamaurie Lloyd, and Kameron Yonish; his parents, Reginald and Tonya Hodges; his father, Timothy Ross; three brothers, Ashten Hodges, Timothy Ross, and Jamal Ross; nieces and nephews, Lamya Hodges, Zion Jones, Alona Jones, Brooklyn Hodges, Kaden Hodges, and Kashten Hodges; Honorary second mother, Marva Horton; mentor, David Hailey; special friends, Monica Jones, Eric Ratliff and Hosea “Zeke” Dowdy, along with a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Douglas Community Center, 1185 W Pennsylvania Ave, Southern Pines.
Professional services have been entrusted to Kearns Memorial, Maxton, NC.
