Dorothy Reaves Obituary

Dorothy L. Reaves, 80, of Southern Pines, NC passed away Monday, November 14, 2022, at The Greens Nursing Home in Pinehurst, NC. Dorothy was born on April 28, 1942, to the late Walter and Bernice Reaves. Dorothy grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from the Moore County School system. She later moved to New York where she owned and operated a dry-cleaning business until she retired and moved back to North Carolina.

She is survived by her brothers, Walter Reaves (Renata) of Killeen Texas, Bruce Reaves (Jerrie) of Apex, NC, and James Liles (Josie) of the Philippines; sisters, Robenia Reaves of Aberdeen, NC and Juanita Harris of Eastwood, NC; close friend, Emma Watson, and a host of family and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Christ’s Way Community Church, 15767 US 15-501 S. Aberdeen, NC 28315. Mask are required.

The family will be receiving friends at 319 Keyser St. in Aberdeen.

Services are entrusted to Kearns Memorial, Maxton, NC.
